If it feels like your child is fighting sleep,
I want you to hear this first:
They're not fighting you.
Once you understand what's actually happening, so much of this starts to make sense.
This isn't another wake window chart.
It isn't a rigid schedule that falls apart the first time your child skips a nap.
It isn't a course you'll need to re-buy every few months as your child ages into the next stage.
Navigating Naps is a workshop that teaches you how naps actually work, biologically and developmentally, so you can read what your specific child needs, at every age and stage, without starting over each time something changes.
If you've tried the sleep schedule, the app, the sweet spot, the chart with the exact numbers, and you're still standing in the nursery wondering what you're doing wrong, the problem was never your effort. It was the framework.
Welcome to the shift your naptime has been waiting for!
If this is you, you're in the right place.
- “My child will only sleep if I hold them, rock them, or feed them.”
- “My child wakes up as soon as I put them down.”
- “My child doesn't get enough sleep. They sleep for 20 to 30 minutes and then wake up.”
- Your child is fighting sleep, and it feels that way every single time.
- Your child falls asleep on you, rocking, in motion, on the go, on the bottle, or at the breast, and you've been told that “doesn't count,” so you're not sure what to do next.
- You've tried a wake window chart or the schedule, and your child doesn't seem to follow it.
- You feel nap trapped, holding your baby through naps because it's the only thing that works, and you're exhausted by it.
- You want to understand your child, not just manage their behavior. You're frustrated that you didn't even get a break.
If you're nodding right now, you're exactly where you need to be.

Your Path Through Naptime
The Myth About
Sleep Associations
Many parents worry that holding, rocking, or feeding to sleep is a bad habit, or that they've created a sleep problem. You'll learn how sleep associations give you good information about what your child already knows about going to sleep, and how to use that information to find your family's next best steps.
Your Foundation:
SLEEP & Breathe LOVE
Parents often feel like they're guessing at every nap, and one rough day can shake their confidence. You'll learn about the SLEEP and Breathe LOVE frameworks, the guiding principles you'll use through every age and stage as you work toward better sleep
The Biology of
Sleep
Many parents wonder why their baby wakes after 30 minutes or stirs partway through a nap, and worry something is wrong. You'll understand exactly what's happening in your child's body during a nap, including partial arousals, so a short nap or a stirring child makes sense and you'll know what to do.
Understanding
Sleep Capacity
Parents often wonder how much sleep their child really needs, and how naps and nighttime sleep fit together. You'll see the full 24-hour picture, how naps and nighttime sleep are connected, and learn what your child's sleep capacity is.
Understanding
the Daily Windows
Many parents follow a schedule that falls apart the first time life gets busy or a child is growing. You'll build flexible routines for feeding, play, and sleep that travel with your real life, at home, on the go, and around every child in your family. Knowing which window you're in helps you make informed decisions and lead your child through a rhythm and flow of the day that works for them and for you.
Reading Your Child's Sleep Communication
It's common to have a child who is alert, sensitive, has FOMO, fear of missing out, or has a hard time settling, and to feel unsure what they need. You'll learn to read your child's cues and temperament and understand their sleep communication, so you can respond to what they need.
Creating Your
Personal Nap Plan
Many parents have read the books and Googled, and they still don't know where to begin to help their child nap. You'll create your own personal nap plan that works for your family and your child.
If and When
Nap Coaching Is Needed
Parents often wonder whether they need nap coaching, and worry it will mean a lot of tears. Once you understand your child's sleep communication, naptime gets easier and you can better support your child to sleep. You'll know if and when you might need some nap coaching to move away from feeling nap trapped, and you'll get a full walkthrough of the approaches so you can choose what fits your family.
Nap Patterns
by Age & Stage
Nap transitions happen often, and parents are trying to figure out what their infant, toddler, or preschooler needs. Many also wonder what to do when a child resists naps. You'll apply everything you've learned to your child's current age and stage, including what to do when a toddler or preschooler starts protesting naps and how to set up and hold a rest time.

Hi, I'm Irene.
With my first son, we were mostly nap trapped, although he was a total nap champ at daycare. 🤪
We did the best we could. We didn't know what we were doing. But with my second son, as I started reading and learning about naps, thinking about nap schedules, even as I was getting trained in sleep coaching, I felt like the rules around naps created a lot of stress and anxiety for me.
I noticed myself showing up angry when a nap was taking too long. So much of that had to do with the fact that I wasn't encouraged to think about what my child was actually communicating. I was focused on just get the nap. And that was so hard for me as a parent.
I remember being filled with rage and frustration, carrying a nap narrative around with me all day long, the story I was telling myself: you're feeling tired because you didn't take a nap. It became a cycle of blame, almost feeling like a victim to the nap.
Fast forward to when I started nap coaching other people's children. I began to really notice what they were communicating. And then I could reflect back on my own experience, and that's when the shift really started for me.
Now I'm a Family Sleep Coach, a certified Gentle Sleep Coach, a Postpartum Doula, and an Infant Feeding Specialist. I help parents move from exhausted and second-guessing to calm, confident, and rested, starting with naps, because I know exactly what it feels like on the other side of that shift.
Questions parents ask before they join:
“My child will only sleep if I hold them, rock them, or feed them.” Will this still work for us?
“My child wakes up as soon as I put them down.” Why does this keep happening?
“My child doesn't get enough sleep. They sleep for 20 to 30 minutes and then wake up.” Is that normal?
How long is the workshop?
Do I have to watch it all at once?
Is this only for babies?
I've already tried a wake window chart and it didn't work for my child. Will this be different?
Do I need to leave my child to cry it out?
What if I want more support than the workshop and the group calls?
If naptime has become something you dread, this workshop was made for you.

You don't need another wake window chart. You don't need to try harder. You need to understand what your child actually needs to fall asleep and stay asleep, because once you do, the rest, the confidence, the calm, follows.
ÂYou won't be doing this forever. But it does take a little time to get there. Let's start.
