If it feels like your child is fighting sleep,

I want you to hear this first:

They're not fighting you.

Once you understand what's actually happening, so much of this starts to make sense.

This isn't another wake window chart.

It isn't a rigid schedule that falls apart the first time your child skips a nap.
It isn't a course you'll need to re-buy every few months as your child ages into the next stage.

Navigating Naps is a workshop that teaches you how naps actually work, biologically and developmentally, so you can read what your specific child needs, at every age and stage, without starting over each time something changes.

If you've tried the sleep schedule, the app, the sweet spot, the chart with the exact numbers, and you're still standing in the nursery wondering what you're doing wrong, the problem was never your effort. It was the framework.

Welcome to the shift your naptime has been waiting for!

If this is you, you're in the right place.

  • “My child will only sleep if I hold them, rock them, or feed them.”
  • “My child wakes up as soon as I put them down.”
  • “My child doesn't get enough sleep. They sleep for 20 to 30 minutes and then wake up.”
  • Your child is fighting sleep, and it feels that way every single time.
  • Your child falls asleep on you, rocking, in motion, on the go, on the bottle, or at the breast, and you've been told that “doesn't count,” so you're not sure what to do next.
  • You've tried a wake window chart or the schedule, and your child doesn't seem to follow it.
  • You feel nap trapped, holding your baby through naps because it's the only thing that works, and you're exhausted by it.
  • You want to understand your child, not just manage their behavior. You're frustrated that you didn't even get a break.

If you're nodding right now, you're exactly where you need to be.

By the end of this workshop, you will have:

  • ✔ A clear understanding of what's actually happening in your child's body during a nap, and why a short nap isn't a failed one
  • ✔ The ability to tell the difference between your child fighting sleep and your child simply being in light sleep
  • ✔ A framework for reading your child's sleep communication that grows with you, instead of expiring the moment your child hits a new age
  • ✔ The ability to embrace flexible routines, so naps can happen at home, on the go, and around multiple children's schedules, without everything falling apart
  • ✔ Clarity on whether feeding is well established in your home, and what to do next if it isn't
  • ✔ A template for a Nap Plan you'll build during the workshop, filled in specifically for your child and your family's rhythms, not a generic plan handed to you
  • ✔ Real relief from the guilt and second-guessing that's been following you into every naptime
  • ✔ Access to Ask Me Anything: Live Sleep Support, so you're never figuring this out completely alone

Right now, naptime might feel like something happening to you.
By the end of this workshop, naptime will be a natural rhythm and flow in your day that you lead your child through.

Hi, I'm Irene.

With my first son, we were mostly nap trapped, although he was a total nap champ at daycare. 🤪

We did the best we could. We didn't know what we were doing. But with my second son, as I started reading and learning about naps, thinking about nap schedules, even as I was getting trained in sleep coaching, I felt like the rules around naps created a lot of stress and anxiety for me.

I noticed myself showing up angry when a nap was taking too long. So much of that had to do with the fact that I wasn't encouraged to think about what my child was actually communicating. I was focused on just get the nap. And that was so hard for me as a parent.

I remember being filled with rage and frustration, carrying a nap narrative around with me all day long, the story I was telling myself: you're feeling tired because you didn't take a nap. It became a cycle of blame, almost feeling like a victim to the nap.

Fast forward to when I started nap coaching other people's children. I began to really notice what they were communicating. And then I could reflect back on my own experience, and that's when the shift really started for me.

Now I'm a Family Sleep Coach, a certified Gentle Sleep Coach, a Postpartum Doula, and an Infant Feeding Specialist. I help parents move from exhausted and second-guessing to calm, confident, and rested, starting with naps, because I know exactly what it feels like on the other side of that shift.
